What sets it apart

PALFIQUE LX5 uses Tokuyama’s RAP initiator. According to the manufacturer, it gives a longer working time while shortening curing time by about one-third compared with Tokuyama’s conventional resin composites.

All of the inorganic filler is spherical and submicron, with a mean particle size of 0.2 µm. The high filler load is designed to reduce polymerization shrinkage.

Tokuyama also lists high polishability, high wear resistance with less wear to opposing teeth, good radiopacity and a wide shade-matching range.

Indications

  • Direct anterior and posterior restorations, including the occlusal surface and all carious classes
  • Direct bonded composite veneer
  • Diastema closure

Handling notes

  • Fill the cavity in increments, and light-cure each increment for at least the time shown in the manufacturer’s curing table.
  • Keep the curing light tip within 2 mm of the increment.
  • Do not mix PALFIQUE LX5 with other brands of composite or with other PALFIQUE LX5 shades.
  • Do not use on patients allergic or hypersensitive to methacrylic monomers.
